INTO 2022

When it looks like the same wilderness

DISCOVERING DESTINY.

Overcoming Darkness.

How are you overcoming the struggle to feel hopeful this New Year’s? Let’s journey together!

We’ve all seen the memes by now: 2020 was a trilogy.

And after a difficult duo, it’s hard to have much hope for another pandemic year.

At this stage, the only truly positive outcome would involve a magical way out. But, rapture beliefs aside, magic is one of the last things anyone is counting on this year.

Yet those in the family of Christ believe in a power much stronger than magic, and that is where our true hope for 2022 lies.

While the God who holds our future doesn’t promise to clear every obstacle in our path, he will be with us every step of the way.

Like the children of Israel in the wilderness or the new covenant saints suffering unthinkable persecutions, God will stand before any odds that come against us and lead us through.

Not out. Through.

Because it is the process of going through life’s challenges that reaps the harvest he most desires: a closer relationship with him.

It is very human of us to focus on a specific destination or outcome. But God’s grace is a gift that can only be experienced through the journey.

A journey of believing every heartache will one day be healed and that our ultimate destination is the best we could ever hope for.

A journey of realizing we are going to mess up, stumble, take wrong turns, and get hurt. But knowing each day will bring another chance to try again with his help.

A journey of letting go of goals and resolutions, no matter how worthy, and letting him lead us forward even when we don’t know the way.

And if we can commit to walking through each day with him no matter what lies ahead, we will end up with everything we need for a brighter new year.
